Journey back to 1933 and take in the music of a world eerily reminiscent of our own: new technologies (radio) were emerging, new politics were shaking up peoples' daily lives, and people were forming radical new relationships with sexual and racial identity. Nowhere were these forces more present than in New Orleans, where music told the history more clearly than anything else could, while resonating throughout the world. Come explore the music of this world, featuring local performers you're sure to recognize!
